Isabella Rose Nelson

I am a conceptual artist based in London who does sculpture and work on paper.

Collecting, processing and transforming found objects constitutes the basic idea and method behind my work. I also produce work in a variety of media including photography, word art, handmade paper, embroidery and appliqués. My practice is influenced and inspired by the study of natural cycles and their relationship with historical-cultural traditions.

Recently, my work has focused on the underlying principles of purification, its function within the biosphere, and its connection to ceremonies and rituals.
