ENRIQUE CANO
I was once told that I look like a madman trying to explain his madness.
Today I do not describe myself as an artist, above all I define myself as an illustrator. My typology is characterized by a dark, aggressive and detailed style. My illustrations are a confluence of writers like HP Lovecraft, Edgar Allan Poe, and Mary Shelley (among others) and my personal approach.
Professionally, I work in the publishing field, although at the same time I enjoy more of my own work.
When it comes to being crazy, it's not that I am, far from it (I hope) but rather that I find it difficult to explain myself. I am an illustrator, who as such evolves and is dynamic, I do not identify myself in any other way. I think my illustrations speak for themselves.
My work methodology is based on searching for themes and inspiration both in literature and in movies and video games, these always tend to deal with dark themes such as witchcraft, occultism, or death itself.
My illustrations are characterized by the use of patterns to describe volumes, lights and shadows.
