For me, landscapes are the most difficult thing to achieve in a good photo, you are in a wonderful landscape, you take the photo and it is dead. Nature has the ability to make us improve our mood, our health, the photos of our known landscapes transport us and we evoke it even if we are not there, but the photos of unknown landscapes hardly have this effect on us, so we have to look for the way to express what a landscape conveys to me in a more symbolic way.

For years I have had a series of photos of armchairs in the countryside, one in a field of thistles, another with a stack of more than 30 books, another in a forest... One day traveling through the desert of Almeria I find myself in middle of nowhere, on a high, this chair, I couldn't believe it, it was like one of my montages, so I photographed it as is, the place was beautiful in spring. And then the owl came in a later edition, I could say a lot of symbolic things about owls besides pointing out that they are in danger of extinction due to the felling of trees but it came by intuition, without thinking.

The fire happened when we were spending the summer, it was terrible, when we went to do it it was unbreathable so in the end I had to take a photo of the burned mountain on one side, the portrait on the other and then edit it.
